Inscription: Belmont Dec 28-12-09. Dear Cousin: I must send you a card to let you know how disappointed we
were that we did not get down. Was going Friday but when we got up, could scarcely show our noses
out with the Storm and then got all ready to go on Monday, when it was a worse storm than ever.
So that was our luck. Pretty good don’t you think? The roads are blocked up something terrible
here. Perhaps we will be able to get down some other time later on in the water. Hope you are all
well and will have a very Happy New Year. Write soon.
